A museum in New York is putting the spotlight on French fashion house Chloe with a new exhibit honouring the brand's founder Gaby Aghion, as well as the works of iconic in-house designers including Karl Lagerfeld and Stella McCartney.
Dubbed Mood Of The Moment: Gaby Aghion And The House Of Chloe, the exhibition includes some 150 garments illustrating the label's 70-year-history as well as "never-before exhibited sketches and documents from the Chloe Archive", according to the press release.
While also showcasing the work of designers such as Lagerfeld and McCartney who began their careers at Chloe, according to the museum, the exhibit's focus is on Aghion, who passed away in 2014.

Born Gabriella Hanoka into a Jewish family in Egypt in 1921, Aghion later moved to Paris where she founded Chloe in 1952, a fashion house that continues to enjoy global success.
"The exhibition will showcase Aghion as a leader whose work altered the course of the global fashion industry in liberating women's bodies from the restrictive attitudes and styles of time, as well as pioneering the emergence of luxury ready-to-wear," the statement read.
The Chloe exhibition at the Jewish Museum in New York runs until February 18, 2024. – dpa
