Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic

The latest version of the Rado Captain Cook watch has PVD rose-gold detailing, to reflect metropolitan jungles and the hues of an urban dawn on skyscrapers.

Dressed in evocative olive tones, the new Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton carries the DNA of Rado precision and reliability to accompany your busy journey through the day.

The new variation also features a triple-row bracelet completely crafted from Rado high-tech ceramic, a perfect complement to the monobloc ceramic case topped by a warm, bright rose-gold-coloured PVD-treated stainless-steel rotatable bezel.

A further touch of olive colour is added via a high-tech ceramic insert inside the bezel, next to the signature box-shaped sapphire crystal glass, with anti-reflective treatment both inside and out.

The large hands and markers are highlighted by white, easy-to-read Super-LumiNova treatment, perfect for any low-light conditions.

Inside, the R808 25-jewel, three-hand automatic movement has undergone stringent testing and provides up to 80 hours of power reserve.

The new Captain Cook is equipped with a circular-brushed titanium case-back with an additional sapphire crystal, for a glance into the finer workings of the timepiece and the trademark oscillating anchor symbol.

The high-tech ceramic case, screw-down crown and typical Rado quality assembly provide water-resistance up to 30 bar (300m).

Be it the sportier green rubber-strap version or the elegant high-tech ceramic bracelet version with titanium three-fold clasp and twin push-button closure, your new skeleton automatic will be a reliable ally in tropical and urban jungles, as your own unique lifestyle demands.

Centrix Open Heart

The new Centrix Open Heart establishes a fresh narrative with design styling and elements that speak of eternal love, sparkling memories and treasured places.

Its dial brings to mind that symbol dear to lovers – a bridge between worlds, the now and the beyond.

The upper of the two gentle curves forming the bridge is punctuated by the centre of the timepiece, upon which the hands pivot in perfect harmony.

The design then neatly flows outward unhindered, over to the dial’s edge.

A large window frames the R734 automatic movement besides an elegant “ondulé soleil” rippled sunlight motif on selected component surfaces.

The dial’s background shade matches that of the bracelet’s ceramic central links, while the case and outer bracelet elements are in rose-gold-coloured PVD-finished stainless steel.

A gentle convex sapphire crystal with a rounded edge, bonded to the case, gives perfect readability thanks to anti-reflective coating on both surfaces.

It has 80 hours of power reserve.

This Open Heart is the latest addition to the Rado “Art of Skeletonisation” product series.

Among the models available is one in plasma high-tech ceramic. The mother-of-pearl dial variation offers options of white or dark-brown.

The Jubilé models feature 12 Top Wesselton full-cut diamonds as hour indices, while two Super Jubilé versions add a further sparkling stream of diamonds along the lower arch of the bridge.

True Square x Kunihiko Morinaga

Rado and visionary Japanese fashion designer Kunihiko Morinaga have released their latest masterpiece – the Rado True Square x Kunihiko Morinaga Special Edition watch.

It blends the watch brand’s renowned mastery of materials with the colour-changing technology that the avant-garde designer is well-known for.

The special edition features a squarish polished black monobloc high-tech ceramic case and crown.

Its black PVD sand-blasted titanium case-back is fitted with a sapphire crystal with the metalised words: KUNIHIKO MORINAGA SPECIAL EDITION.

The transparent dial is one of the watch’s defining elements.

It has a photochromic treatment, which means that it changes colour according to available light.

The designer says, “The intent was to add colour and take it away. I tried to capture the ethereal nature of time in the design by integrating a photochromic lens that changes colour based on ultraviolet light.”

When it is exposed to sunlight, the True Square’s dial darkens. But as the sun goes down, the dial shade evolves into grey and finally becomes transparent, revealing the Rado calibre R734 at the heart of the watch.

The rhodium-coloured hour and minute hands have a white veneer and are coated with white Super-LumiNova, making them legible regardless of the sun.

The Rado True Square x Kunihiko Morinaga is presented on a polished black high-tech ceramic bracelet secured by a titanium three-fold clasp.

The watch, which is water resistant to 50m, is delivered with a Special Edition certificate.

True Square Open Heart

A significant part of Rado’s reputation was built on its square high-tech ceramic watches. And the True Square collection has taken the world by storm with its compelling interpretation of this iconic Rado shape.

It is light and scratch-resistant thanks to its square injected monobloc high-tech ceramic case, and it delivers incredible wearer comfort.

True Square Open Heart watches, with 80-hour power reserve, have skeletonised dials that offer a view of the R734 calibre.

The two new variations are turquoise with diamond hour markers, and white with a kaleidoscopic of coloured gem stones.

The turquoise high-tech monobloc ceramic case and crown has a vertically brushed turquoise dial with silver-coloured bevels, highlighted by 12 Top Wesselton full-cut diamonds and a turquoise-coloured flange. The rhodium-coloured central hour and minute hands are coated with white veneer and white Super-LumiNova to make them legible in all lighting conditions. The sand-blasted titanium case-back is fitted with a sapphire crystal. Completing the watch is a turquoise polished high-tech ceramic bracelet secured by a titanium 3-fold clasp.

The second True Square Open Heart debuted this year has a polished white monobloc high-tech ceramic case and crown.

On its white dial are coloured gemstones as hour markers while the rhodium-coloured central hour and minute hands are coated in orange Super-LumiNova. This study in white is delivered on a white polished high-tech ceramic bracelet.

The automatic movement offers outstanding resistance to the effects of magnetic fields. Its Côte de Genève-decorated holder adds to the overall look.

True Round Open Heart

There are four new interpretations of the True Round Open Heart – including a striking limited-edition model.

The watch’s dial cutout is a creatively crafted “8” set near the centre of the dial. Viewed from another angle, this cutout is the symbol for infinity.

Its R734 movement is a mechanical wonder and an expression of the art of watchmaking with its sunray guilloche finish.

All four new models feature the Rado high-tech ceramic cases and bracelets, rose gold-coloured hour, minute and second hands, and white Super-LumiNova-coated indexes.

The dial is protected by a unique dichroic sapphire crystal, which colours shift alluringly. That means that every glance at the watch offers a different view.

The watch, with 80-hour power reserve and water-resistance up to 50m, is limited to 888 pieces and the sequence number is engraved on its titanium case-back. It is delivered with a Limited Edition certificate too.

Anatom

When the Rado Anatom was launched in 1983, the market had been exploring unusual watch shapes, mostly square and rectangular variants.

As the Anatom evolved, with the designers’ primary focus being on making the new timepiece as “anatomical” as possible, its overall look also pushed boundaries in new directions.

In addition to the convex or “rounded” sapphire glass, new flowing forms emerged and harsh angular inflections disappeared. The futuristic “Anatom” model has truly arrived.
