Swiss watch brand Rado has further expanded its footprint in Malaysia with a stunning new boutique at The Exchange TRX Kuala Lumpur, quick on the heels of its flagship store debut in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur a little over half-year ago.
Nestled in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s financial district, The Exchange TRX store marks a bold step for Rado, embodying a pioneering “concept store” approach envisioned by Rado chief executive officer Adrian Bosshard.
“Our new boutique on the ground floor of The Exchange TRX epitomises our ‘Master of Materials’ philosophy.
“Inspired by cutting-edge technology and craftsmanship, the design features clean lines, warm bronze tones and innovative materials.
“It creates an inviting space that draws customers in, encouraging them to explore Rado’s distinctive collection and experience first-hand the brand’s commitment to elegance and innovation,” Bosshard says during the boutique’s opening early this month.
The boutique’s facade, adorned with brushed bronze panels and dynamic lighting, captures attention with its artistic interpretation of Rado’s aesthetics.
Inside, visitors are welcomed into a serene atmosphere where the brand’s signature timepieces like the rugged Rado Captain Cook and the elegant Centrix are showcased.
“The Rado Captain Cook, perfect for modern explorers, blends vintage charm with advanced features.
“Meanwhile, the Centrix offers unparalleled elegance and versatility, making it a favourite among discerning women,” Bosshard introduces.
In his opening speech, the CEO highlights the century-old brand’s pioneering journey in expanding its reach across Asia.
He expresses pride for the team in the successful establishment of stores and service centres in Malaysia.
Rado is now present in 61 locations across Malaysia, with the new boutique at The Exchange TRX being its sixth official branded store.
“This store’s outcome brings me satisfaction, delivering the anticipated uniqueness despite the challenges and high standards set by this prestigious mall,” says Bosshard.
“We are delighted to bring more boutiques here and extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Malaysian customers,” he adds.
The excitement among those gathered at the event reaches fever pitch when Hakken, a globally celebrated cosplayer known for bringing to life iconic anime characters, drew a crowd of fervent fans who energised the atmosphere.
Sporting Rado’s standout piece – the Captain Cook – during the opening ceremony, Hakken describes the watch as the perfect blend of sophistication and cutting-edge technology.
“It complements my whole look of the day,” remarks the 26-year-old Sarawak-born personality who has close to four million followers on Instagram.
The celebrity joins Bosshard, Rado Malaysia brand manager Penny Chong, The Exchange TRX general manager Trevor Hill and The Exchange TRX project director Mitch Wilson for the ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the boutique opening.
