The Dior Grand Soir Automate Miroir d’Eau line pays tribute to the Villa Les Rhumbs garden in Granville, northern France, which held a special place in Christian Dior’s heart.
Its dial is conceived as a dream-like scene, the different layers create depth and evoke an entrancing stroll.
With a constellation of water lilies, the crystal-clear water glistens in an interplay of light, day and night.
Undulating, coloured mother-of-pearl elegantly conveys this aquatic enchantment, producing a visual symphony where nature and art intertwine.
When the automaton is activated, the Miroir d’Eau comes to life.

On one side, a flower with petals punctuated by precious stones sways and swirls in a breeze, while a delicate bee hovers as it suckles.
On the other, a corolla with scintillating pistils drifts while a water lily, on which a golden, feathery dragonfly has alighted, gently sails on the ripples.
This marvellous reverie flourishes beyond the dial and unfurls onto the fully-set case, reflecting the aquatic hues and sparkles in a profusion of diamonds and other precious stones in shimmering nuances.
