Wunderbath founder Evelyn Marieta’s daily dressing ranges from cute and chic to quirky and edgy, depending on how she feels on that particular day.

“Chic with a quirky twist!” is how she describes her personal style, adding, “I love to mix standout pieces to make a statement, all while keeping the look polished.”

“Like when I went to my stylist Steve in Aube Salon Bangsar, telling him I wanted to look like Merida from Brave the Disney film to attend Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. I paired the curly style with a neon yellow designer geometric long gown.”

Apart from running her cosmetics and bath bomb brand, Marieta is launching Wunderworld, a science show designed to make learning exciting for toddlers and preschoolers.

“Did you know that by the age of five, 90% of a child’s brain is already developed? At three years old, they have 1,000 trillion brain connections, double that of a teenager! With all that potential, why not use this stage to teach them something fun and meaningful, like science?” says Marieta.

What is your favourite go-to look?

My style is always evolving, so I don’t have a set go-to look. I love to dress based on how I’m feeling at the moment. I love to experiment with new styles and there are days when I arrive at work and think “I am a complete fashion faux pax”. Then, I’d change clothes at work.

What are your three must-have style/beauty items?

Glitter gel to add a playful touch to any makeup look; Wunderbath’s Wunderwoman Wunderlippie, a fuchsia anti-ageing lip balm; and my own blended perfume to complete my outfit.

Sometimes when I can’t find a specific shade of lipstick or eye makeup, I’d make my own too with cosmetic ingredients I have in my lab.

What trend would you most like to see disappear?

Micropants! They’re becoming trendy, but they’re so impractical, especially in KL.

Also, low rise hipster pants, which are a nightmare for moms!

Who would you consider a style icon and why?

Zendaya – she always looks flawless and makes every style her own and Iris Apfel, who is proof that style has no age limit – her confidence is timeless!

And Blake Lively – she makes Hollywood glam look wearable and accessible.
