With news breaking that the third Princess Diaries film is officially in the works (to be directed by Malaysian Adele Lim), the trend will probably become even more popular.

You will notice coquette looks on fashion runways too. There were several looks at the recent Spring/Summer 2025 fashion weeks that included dainty and diaphanous tutus.
Prada’s collection for the current season is a good example of the coquette aesthetic. It included plenty of frilly dresses and bows – all in pastel colour palettes.
