As the Official Timekeeper of the 37th America’s Cup, Omega welcomes a special group of friends to Barcelona to watch the first race of this year’s sailing match.

Those in attendance include Spanish actor Miguel Herrán; American actresses Meagan Good and Natalie Martinez; American actor Gavin Leatherwood; the award-winning American actress and singer Lucy Hale; French actress Alice Belaïdi; and French-Cameroonian actress Manon Bresch.

Oct 12 marks the beginning of a head-to-head America’s Cup battle, with the challenger INEOS Britannia facing the title defender Emirates Team New Zealand in a first-to-seven series.

Inside the AC37 Club on the shoreline, Omega’s guests watch the action unfold and celebrate as the watch brand’s partner − Emirates Team New Zealand − takes victory in Race 1 and Race 2.

The guests are also given the chance to enjoy the sights and tastes of Barcelona, with a special city tour followed by a cocktail dinner the same evening.

Omega president and CEO Raynald Aeschlimann says, “Omega has been part of the America’s Cup since 1995, and we know how magical and thrilling this event can be.

“It’s very special to share this year’s edition with these guests and show them all the precision and skill that happen out on the water.”

Besides the brand’s long-standing partnership with Emirates Team New Zealand, Omega has been tasked with the Official Timekeeper duties at the America’s Cup in 2000, 2003, 2021 and 2024.

This year, the brand’s timekeeping task-list was expanded to include two new top-level competitions.

The Puig Women’s America’s Cup makes its debut this year, while the Unicredit Youth America’s Cup is an opportunity for emerging crews to prove their worth on the waves.

To mark the 37th America’s Cup, Omega launched its Seamaster Regatta.

Omega’s passion for ocean exploration has been a driving force behind many of its most innovative timepieces.

The Swiss brand’s timekeeping role at the world’s most famous regatta has led to the release of countless watches, designed specifically to meet the challenges of highspeed boat racing. Omega’s latest release continues this tradition.

Omega’s 46.75mm Seamaster Regatta is fully equipped for life at sea.

It’s an instrument watch for sailors, featuring both analogue and digital displays.

Cased in grade 5 titanium, the Seamaster Regatta is replete with invaluable tools, including a moonphase indicator, a chronograph, a sailing logbook, temperature gauge, accelerometer, three alarms and, of course, a regatta race function.

For Aeschlimann, the new Seamaster is a timely addition to the brand’s impressive range of instrument watches.

“Our new Seamaster Regatta belongs to the same family of watches as the Speedmaster X33.

“It’s essentially a multifunctional tool that you can wear on your wrist.

“The great boat race in Barcelona is sure to inspire sailors all over the world,” he says.

The competition has ended with Emirates Team New Zealand lifting the Cup for the third consecutive time.
