Why are Malaysians still sending postcards?

Wan Maryam’s wall of fame consists of 30 postcards from all over the world and took her about three years to collect. — WAN MARYAM WAN AMIZAN

Have you ever received a postcard from friends or family overseas? It’s a simple gesture, but one that is quite impactful. It says that the person who sent you the postcard not only took some time out to think of you, but also put in the effort to mail it.

For Wan Maryam Wan Amizan, sending postcards has become a bit of a ritual for her whenever she travels abroad. She tries to travel at least once a year and sends out postcards – sometimes to herself – postmarked from different countries.
