German military training field now popular with hikers and wild animals

The footpath branches off to the right and leads between pine trees to the old tank ramps. “We can safely walk on them,” says guide Ronja Grothe with a laugh.

The track through the grass has been trampled by the wild animals that live here. And with nothing happening to the animals, we too can put our feet down without hesitation. Otherwise, the rule here is: Please stay on the designated paths.
