Tales of Langkawi will come to life in upcoming immersive attraction

For some, a night walk in a forest would be the perfect activity for the weekend.

Dream Forest Langkawi is a new immersive outdoor night attraction, located in the lush Lubuk Semilang rainforest in Langkawi Island, Kedah. This is no ordinary walk, however, as it tells some of the most beautiful Langkawi folklore, with the help of technology.

As night approaches, the 2.3ha ancient forest lights up, and the mythical legends come to life. It is simply magical.

Dream Forest is the brainchild of Enfiniti Group president and chief dream maker Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina, and her team. This entertainment attraction is a new way of telling stories. Unlike watching a film, visitors get to immerse themselves in the Malaysian folklore. Not many of us know the local stories surrounding Langkawi, so the Dream Forest is a good place to find out more about them.

This presentation creates a wonderful experience, that complements your exploration of its natural landscape. You will come across several mythical characters as you traverse the forest. Among the characters that will take over the forest – they will be projected on the trees – are the Prince of Rome, Gedembai and Merong Mahawangsa.

Besides the immersive experience, which only takes place at night, visitors can also opt to take a nature walk in the theatre space during the day, too. If you are lucky, you may catch sight of several wildlife species such as the majestic hornbills, flying lemurs and Sumatran toad.

Dream Forest Langkawi, which consists of Dream Forest Immersive Park and Dream Forest Book Village, is set to open on May 1.

Dream Forest Langkawi is working with various tourism agencies, associations and companies including Tourism Malaysia, Langkawi Development Authority, Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agencies and airlines to promote the attraction.
