There's a new fun attraction in Selangor and it’s bound to get any visitor’s adrenalin pumping.

The Gamuda Luge Gardens, located within the Gamuda Gardens theme park in Rawang, is Malaysia’s first luge park. It is also one of only eight of such parks in the world, and the second-largest in South-East Asia.

A luge is a self-driving racing vehicle in which riders control its speed by pushing the handlebar. Unlike other racing karts, which run on electric or petrol, the luge relies on gravitational pull.

Known as the Skyline Luge Kuala Lumpur, the park features four luge tracks, and each one begins at the top of a hill. Don’t worry, you don’t have to hike all the way up as there is a chairlift service available.

As you race down one of the tracks in your luge, you will pass through colourful LED-lit tunnels.

The hairpin turns along the downhill “slopes” are bound to elevate the riding experience.

Kids taller than 110cm are allowed to ride the kart solo, while those who are smaller have to ride with a parent or guardian.

Visitors can also ride the luge at night by joining the Anticipate Night Luge experience. This is when the tracks are illuminated with vibrant lights, making the ride even more exhilarating.

At the bottom of the hill you will find the FunPark, a family-friendly activity space comprising a water attraction called the Big Bucket Splash, and a few carousel rides.
