A splashing good time at Slide The Curve


Hey, Klang Valley folks, still don’t know what to do this weekend? Well, you can now experience Malaysia’s first ever water slide that’s located within a shopping complex.

The mall in question is The Curve at Mutiara Damansara in Petaling Jaya, Selangor and it currently features a massive inflatable water slide – known as Slide The Curve – as part of its 20th anniversary celebration.

Running alongside that is the mall’s event promotions, themed “Sun-Kissed Adventures”, which is held in conjunction with next week’s school holidays, as well as the Malaysia Day long weekend. Many fun-filled activities have been scheduled from now till Sept 22.

With a mission to offer mall-goers a unique experience, The Curve will also be hosting an array of interactive events throughout the 20-day period.

Among them are the Meow Fiesta (Sept 20 to 22), Pinkfong Bounce Wonderland (Sept 6 to 17), and DJ sets on the weekends.

These events transcend age and gender, encouraging participation of people from all walks of life.

According to the Boustead Properties Berhad chief operations officer Jazmi Kamarudin, Slide The Curve is the company’s commitment to innovation and fun, as well as a way to bring the community together in a memorable way.

“Since opening its doors two decades ago, The Curve has been more than just a retail destination; it has been a vibrant centre of community life and connection. From the very beginning, the visionary mall has set the benchmark beyond ‘round-the-block’ shopping mall experiences,” he said in his speech during the launch of Slide The Curve.

Tickets for the water slide range from RM38 to RM53 for individuals, and RM119 to RM139 for family/group buys. You can book your tickets from thecurve.com.my.

Shoppers who spend RM500 and above (in up to two receipts) are eligible to participate in its 20th Anniversary Lucky Draw, too. And those who spend over RM250 can redeem a special merchandise.
