If you’re looking to make the final quarter of 2024 more memorable and magical, you’re in luck. Head to Singapore, where there are various year-end offerings that will leave lasting memories in your mind.

Whether it’s something to be enjoyed with family or with friends, there are plenty to do in Singapore from now until December. So, pack your bags, grab your passport and get ready to have fun!

For imaginative minds

School may be out for most students in the next few weeks, but that doesn’t mean that kids (and adults!) shouldn’t continue learning. If you have little ones of your own, there are plenty of exhibitions and events you can take them to that will stimulate their minds and make learning all the more fun for everyone.

These exhibitions aren’t limited to children, however, as they can also be enjoyed by visitors of all ages.

One example is The World Of Studio Ghibli that was launched earlier this month. Held at ArtScience Museum until Feb 2, 2025, it is the first official Studio Ghibli exhibition in Singapore.

It features immersive theatrical sets that depict scenes from 11 of the studio’s most beloved films, such as My Neighbour Totoro and Spirited Away. You can purchase the tickets online at marinabaysands.com.

Meanwhile, Potterheads will have the Harry Potter: Visions Of Magic exhibition to look forward to, which will transport visitors into the magical realm of Hogwarts. There are no dates set at the moment, but it will be held at Resorts World Sentosa. You can join the waitlist at rwsentosa.com.

Next, there’s Illumi – A Magical Universe Of Lights & Multimedia. Touted as the world’s largest illumination event (featuring 20 million LEDs!), Illumi made its debut in Singapore at Bayfront Event Space in September. You will have until Dec 8 to explore this exhibition. Tickets are on sale at pelago.com.

Monet Inside, the immersive visual art exhibition that focuses on the life and works of French painter Claude Monet, was launched earlier this month at the Groundseesaw art gallery. There is no end date set for this yet, but now’s a good time as any to go. You can get your tickets at groundseesaw.com.

Bubble Planet is another exhibition with no published end date. Held at Singapore Expo, it is an immersive multi-sensorial experience that will take you through fantastical landscapes such as “Bubble Ocean” (an ocean of balloons), “Balloon Getaway” (a hot air balloon simulation), and “Soap Bubbles” (a robot-led bubble show). Tickets are available via https://bubble-planet.com.

Play: Date – Unlocking Cabinets Of Play, meanwhile, doesn’t even require a ticket to enter. It is a free showcase currently held at National Museum Singapore until Jan 5, 2025. More than 250 locally and internationally recognisable toys can be found at this pop-up.

For more fun

Singapore certainly has plenty to offer, no matter your interest. For example, cycling enthusiasts will enjoy the Tour de France Singapore Criterium that will be held on Nov 9 and 10 at Esplanade Park.

Meanwhile, anime and comic book fans will love the Singapore Comic Con 2024 at Sands Expo & Convention Centre, happening from Dec 8 to 9.

Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, you can experience the wonders of the season at Gardens by the Bay’s Christmas Wonderland or Orchard Road’s Christmas On Great Street.

Then, to welcome 2025 with a bang (quite literally), join the Marina Bay Countdown, which will include exciting live performances and dazzling fireworks.

With all these exciting events and activities, there’s really no excuse for you to not end 2024 on a high note.
