Adventure awaits at the Putrajaya Wetland Adventure Park

Be mesmerised by the stunning landscapes as you fly across the wetland. — GISELE SOO/The Star

In the heart of Putrajaya lies a new attraction – the Putrajaya Wetland Adventure Park.

The park has exciting activities that anyone can try: Glide in mid-air with a flying fox, climb a towering wall, take a “Leap Of Faith”, and master the techniques of abseiling.

Zoom across the wetlands on the 420m-long double zipline. As you glide through the air, you will be rewarded with the breathtaking views of the surroundings.

Once you have landed on the opposite side, a staff member will be waiting for you with a van, so you don’t have to walk all the way back.

For the more adventurous souls, why not challenge yourself to scale the 10m-high wall? It may appear easy at first, but don’t be fooled as it can get pretty difficult.

Having experienced this several times, I can attest that it is both physically and mentally demanding!

If climbing is not your cup of tea, then try the Leap Of Faith instead, where you jump off a wooden platform from a height of about four storeys.

Mind you, this is not for the faint-hearted. Despite it taking merely three to five seconds to do, the plunge is a heart-stopping experience that will certainly give you an adrenaline rush.

At the park, adventurers can tackle abseiling as well. Confront your fear of height as you tactically descend the 13m vertical structure using just a rope, with your peers cheering you on down below.

There will be staff members in every section to assist visitors to ensure your safety throughout all your adventures at the park, so there’s no need to worry about this.
