Puchong landslide: Four cars and nine houses damaged

PUCHONG: A total of four cars and nine houses are involved during a landslide at Jalan Wawasan 3/9 in Pusat Bandar Puchong at 7.14pm.

Resident Abdul Rahim, 72, said that the trees surrounding the site fell down during a heavy rain around 7.10pm.

"I was in the room and saw trees falling down due to the harsh rain, when I went out, I saw the road was totally gone," he said.

MBSJ Corporate Planning and Strategic Management deputy director Azfarizal Abdul Rashid said that part of the row of houses along Jalan Wawasan 3/9 are instructed to move to the temporary relief centre (PPS) at MBSJ’s Multipurpose hall at Laman Puteri 3, Bandar Puteri, Puchong.

Present at the scene were firemen, police officers, the civil defence department, Air Selangor officers and several RELA members.

Subang Jaya mayor Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim also visited the site at 10.30pm

The cause of the landslide is still currently being investigated.
