THERE will be no more slaughtering of chickens at the markets in Kuala Lumpur after a centralised slaughterhouse is completed at the Selayang daily market.
Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Mohd Amin Nordin Abd Aziz said it was an initiative by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), after instruction by the Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Ministry, to ban poultry slaughtering in markets.
