FROM learning to make vegan sushi and netsuke , a clothing accessory, to tying the obi sash on a yukata or casual summer kimono, visitors to the two-day ‘Mini Matsuri’ got to experience the Japanese culture on a whole new level.

Held at the Penang Museum in Macalister Road recently, the event also saw over 200 participants taking part in origami-making sessions, a children’s colouring contest and a Japanese Language class.
