THERE are no Automated Enforcement System (AES) cameras on the second Penang bridge contrary to what has been claimed in a social media post which was widely shared.

The ‘speed trap’ cameras featured in the post are actually used by the bridge concessionaire Jambatan Kedua Sdn Bhd (JKSB) to collect data for internal research and not to penalise motorists.
