Feedback sought on gold mine

KOTA KINABALU: A proposed gold mining operation in Sabah’s east coast Tawau district is a step closer to operations as the state authorities are reviewing a special environmental impact assessment (EIA) of the project.

The Sabah Environmental Protection Department is seeking comments from the public about the proposed mine on a 948ha site at Mount Wullersdorf, about 30km from Tawau town.
