Students’ shoe design makes the cut in competition

IT WAS a marvellous day for Carina Khong Dewar Manohar and her three collegemates from Sunway College Ipoh, Chong Chee Yong, Jess Tang Lai Wah and Jane Thun Chooi Tien when they made it to the “Top 20 Shoes Design” category of the 9th Malaysia Footwear Design Competition (MFDC) 2016.

Khong, who was named first runner-up, along with Chong and Tang, were among the top six winners in the Men’s Shoes Design category while Thun was selected from the Women’s Shoes Design category.
