Communities in 17 floating villages advised to buy extinguishers

TAWAU: The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department has identified 17 high-density floating villages which are at greater risk in terms of fire.

Its director Nordin Pauzi said the villages were Kampung Tanjung Batu (Kota Marudu), Kampung Tanjung Batu Kapur (Kudat), Kampung Sabah Baru (Lahad Datu), Kampung Inanam Laut (Inanam), Kampung Kinarut (Papar), Kampung Mengkabong (Tuaran) as well as Kampung Pulau Bum-Bum and Kampung Simunul (Semporna).
