JOHOR BARU: A former engineer decided to leave his well-paying job and ventured into batik designing and printing and focused on Johor’s iconic pineapple and kuda kepang motifs which were different from the existing batik designs from Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang.

Lagenda Batik proprietor Mohd Ariff Zakaria, 43, from Kulai said business has been good for him and that he had recently received orders for his batik textile from buyers from Pakistan and Morocco.
