Devotees give alms to mark Buddhist Lent

A HUNDRED and twenty Buddhists from the Siamese community and the Penang Siamese Association visited the Wat Nai Thai temple in Jalan Mesjid Negri, Penang, to give alms to the monks in conjunction with the annual Khao Phansa or the Buddhist Lent period.

Association chairman Boon Leua Aroonratana, 58, said the association would celebrate the Buddhist Lent yearly by giving alms to monks.
