NASI lemak is a hearty meal comprising rice cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaves, and served with sambal, eggs, ikan bilis, peanuts and cucumber slices. It is a dish enjoyed by both locals and tourists at any time of the day.

Every morning, there is a queue on the sidewalk in front of Yuen Heong Restaurant in Jalan Niaga, Shah Alam, where the Nasi Lemak Kukus Section 16 stall is located. People wait in line even before the stall opens, to have nasi lemak for breakfast.
