AMIDST the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur’s Chinatown, a group of men sat laughing and talking while sipping their morning tea.

One of them was Datuk Chan Kwok Chin, the third generation of the famed Fung Wong Biscuits enterprise in Jalan Hang Lekir, who stood up and walked over to greet us.
