WHEN the incinerator project in Taman Beringin in Kepong was first mooted, residents there were understandably not pleased.

The proposed 1,000-tonne capacity incinerator costing between RM700mil and RM900mil was planned to be built on a 1.62ha plot next to the existing transfer station.
