Penang receives RM2.58mil for flood victims

THE state government received contributions totalling RM2.58mil from the Selangor government, Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) football club and five organisations in aid of flood victims in the state.

The donations came from Selangor (RM1mil), JDT (RM500,000), Penang Chinese Chamber of Commerce Charity Fund Committee (RM800,000), Rumah Berhala Leng Tien Keong in Selangor (RM100,000), Federation of Moral Uplifting Associations Malaysia (RM80,000) and Chee Hoon Khor Moral Uplifting Society Penang (RM60,000) and Federation of Alumni Association of Taiwan University of Malaysia (RM40,000).
