S’wak urged to set up more safety measures for Bengoh Dam

There are fears that the Bengoh Dam might be leaking, because of the visible water patch.

KUCHING: An emergency response plan (ERP) in an event of a Bengoh Dam break must be made known to the public immediately to allay fear and ensure that affected villages are well prepared for the evacuation exercise.

PKR Puncak Borneo chairman Willie Monggin claimed that most of the 3,000 people in over 10 villages located down river of the Bengoh Dam were still in the dark on the required ERP.
