Hoping to end flood woes in Kuching

KUCHING: The third phase of drainage upgrading works by Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) in hope of addressing flash floods in the city centre is currently underway and scheduled to be completed January next year.

DBKU commissioner Datuk Wee Hong Seng said the RM7mil phase involved the construction of a 3m-wide concrete storm drain along Jalan Masjid, Lebuh Java and parts of Jalan Market.
