Three lawyers battle for hot seat formerly held by Tiger of Jelutong

The Jelutong parliamentary seat will be a contest among three lawyers - (from left) Barisan’s Baljit Singh, Pakatan’s R.S.N. Rayer and MUP’s Tan Sim Bee.

THE Jelutong parliamentary seat is synonymous with the late DAP chairman Karpal Singh, who is also known as the ‘Tiger of Jelutong’.

He helmed the seat from 1978 to 1999 but was defeated by Barisan Nasional’s Lee Kah Choon, who kept the seat for two terms.
