SIBU: A plywood factory in Upper Lanang suffered massive losses when its drying machine and chips silo caught fire.

State Fire and Rescue Services Department in its report yesterday said in the 7.30pm fire on Sunday, the drying machine was totally damaged while the chip silo sustained 70% damage. The drying machine is an important component to dry wet plywood while the chip silo is a large enclosure to send wood chips to the processing machine for processing.
