KUCHING: The state government has always taken initiatives to enhance religious freedom and harmony in Sarawak, particularly through setting up the Unit for Other Religions (Unifor).
Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said Unifor, which was formed on May 26 last year under the Chief Minister’s Department, looks after the affairs, needs and interests of non-Islamic religious bodies in the state, including Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs, Bahai and Taoist.
