THE original roof structure, timber trusses and beams at a 112-year-old school in Kuala Kangsar, Perak, had to be replaced as the wood had decayed.
The Public Works Department (JKR) in a statement said the contractors hired by Perak JKR had moved the items elsewhere due to constraints at the worksite but most were not salvageable.
