Kaleidoscope of colours at Thaipusam

Decorated with colourful lights, the silver chariot carrying the Lord Muruga deity makes its way through Sentul en route to its final destination of Batu Caves.

HUNDREDS of thousands of Hindus from all across Malaysia converge on Batu Caves annually during Thaipusam.

They gather to pay homage to Lord Muruga, with many fulfilling their vows by carrying milk pots (paal kudam) and kavadi, large and small.
