ONE of the largest palm oil producers and exporters in the world, Malaysia has produced over 19.52 million tonnes of crude palm oil from a total planted area of 5.8 million hectares in 2018.
For the same year, its export of oil palm products totalling 24.88 million tonnes generated earnings of up to RM67.49 billion for the country.
