A BREATHTAKING lion dance on an altar 10.3m (33ft 11in) high is set to take place at Kampung Cross Street in Bukit Mertajam tomorrow to honour the King of Heaven’s birthday.

An ornate altar made from red wooden tables stacked together has been assembled for the daring ‘lions’ to climb up and make their offerings to the Jade Emperor.
