JOHOR BARU: The city has turned into a ‘ghost-town’ with rows of shops closed, with most government and private sector offices shut, near empty roads and only a few people seen walking around.
This was in contrast to the chaotic scenes just a few days earlier where long lines of vehicles and people packed the roads heading to Bangunan Sultan Iskandar Customs, Immigration and Quarantine Complex in the hours before the Federal Government’s movement control order (MCO) took effect.
