Article inspires group to raise funds for the needy


Friends and family members putting together food packs for distribution to the underprivileged.

A GROUP of friends and family members raised RM168,000 and used the funds to donate 1,680 dried food packs to the underprivileged with the help of the Welfare Department.

They were inspired to help after reading StarMetro’s exclusive cover story “Migrant workers and refugees cry for help” in early April which revealed the plight of the poor, migrants and refugee community during the movement control order (MCO).
