THE price of dressed chicken at the wet market in Bukit Mertajam town on Penang mainland is now RM9.50per kg, an increase of almost 50% as compared to before the movement control order (MCO) was implemented.

Traders are attributing the price increase to suppliers, claiming that the latter were now charging more from a lack of supply.
