Enforce alternative delivery systems as holistic approach, says group


Heng: Governments should encourage the creation of alternative delivery systems based on reuse and refill.

CHARGING consumers for the sale of single-use plastic bags is a good step to raise awareness of plastic pollution, but is insufficient in addressing the scale of this particular environmental problem, says a global pressure group.

Greenpeace Malaysia campaigner Heng Kiah Chun said that a more effective approach would be a holistic one targetted at enforcing alternative delivery systems based on reuse and refill.
