KUALA LUMPUR: The last day of the city mayor’s tenure was marred by a protest in front of the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) headquarters on Thursday (Oct 1) morning by the Small and Medium Scale Entrepreneurs Association of Malaysia (Ikhlas).

Ikhlas and several non-governmental organisations said the protest is against a land deal in Kuchai Lama, with Ikhlas president Datuk Mohd Ridzuan Abdullah saying that they wanted the land deal to be voided as it did not favour the people.
