JOHOR BARU: The state government has given its assurance that the venues for the Malaysia Games (Sukma) in Johor would not be turned into white elephants after the event was postponed to 2022.

Johor tourism, youth and sports committee chairman Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi said the state government would ensure that all 39 Sukma venues here would not be left unused after the event was postponed for a second time.
