NEWLY appointed local councillors should be given between six months and a year to learn council policies and adapt to their new role.

Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) Zone 3 councillor Anfaal Saari said while each councillor’s duties varied in terms of coverage areas, the newly appointed ones needed time to understand and tackle issues within the constituencies.
