THE Penang government has set a target to plant 500,000 trees all over the state by year 2030 in line with its 2030 vision of becoming a ‘family-focused, green and smart state that inspires the nation’.
State local government, housing, town and country planning committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo said he was confident that the figure could be achieved with efforts shown by both Seberang Prai City Council (MBSP) and Penang Island City Council (MBPP).
