SEVEN trees deemed to be in dangerous condition along Jalan Utama, Jalan Pangkor and Jalan Residensi in Penang were felled over the weekend to ensure public safety in view of the current southwest monsoon lasting until mid-September.

The Penang Island Municipal Council (MBPP) said the trunks of the seven trees were found to have rotted, with some already hollow.
