IT WILL be another quiet Hungry Ghost Month not only for temples and event organisers in Johor, but also for the performers who previously would “entertain” the spirits from the underworld during this time of the year.

For the second consecutive year, there will be no events or ge tai (stage shows) that would typically be set up alongside outdoor altars throughout the celebration – also known as Zhong Yuan Festival – which falls on the seventh lunar month.
