‘Politics will not affect decision on liquor ruling’

Lau says ELBKL will make a collective decision on the liquor regulations.

THE current political climate will have no bearing on any decision that will eventually be made by the Excise Licensing Board of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur (ELBKL) pertaining to Kuala Lumpur City Hall’s (DBKL) new regulations on the sale of hard liquor.

ELBKL chairman Datuk Jason Lau Beng Wei told StarMetro that the board would meet to discuss the matter before making a collective decision on the new liquor licensing guidelines that are set to be implemented on Oct 1.
