THERE is still demand for pillows and mattresses stuffed with kapok (cotton-like fibre) despite the availability of polyurethane foam mattresses and pillows in the market.

Sing Keng Wah Kedai Tilam on Jalan Trus in the old part of Johor Baru has been catering to the demand for kapok-filled pillows and mattresses for almost 82 years.
