Johor government has allocated RM4mil this year to grow the local cattle industry to reduce its dependence on imported meat.

State agriculture, agro-based and rural development committee chairman Datuk Samsolbari Jamali said Johor government, through Penjana, channelled RM3mil for the development of ruminant beef hub and integrated cattle project, a move that benefitted 215 ruminant farming operators.
