Policy on sports programme development for the disabled in the works

PERAK will be the first state to formulate a policy focusing on the development of sports programmes for the disabled (PwD).

State sports committee chairman Khairul Shahril Mohamed said the policy was an initiative taken by the Perak government to ensure equality and opportunities for the disabled, especially in sports, as prescribed in the Person with Disabilities Act 2008.
